Abstract
This article examines the pedagogical foundations necessary for the development of the skills of working in virtual teams in higher education institutions. As the world increasingly moves to online collaboration, teaching students how to work effectively in virtual teams is critical. The article provides insight into the methods, findings, and discussion of how educators can instill these important skills, and offers implications and suggestions for making virtual team teaching more effective.
