LINGUISTIC ESSENCE OF DISCURSIVE ANALYSIS (In the example of Usman Azim’s poems)

Abstract

This article discusses the emergence, study and role of discourse analysis in linguistics. It reveals the role of social and pragmatic factors, the essence of discourse analysis. Lyrical discourse and sociopragmatic interpretation of Usman Azim’s poems are described. Pragmatic, semantic and structural aspects of linguistic units used in the poems are discussed.
