Abstract

This article examines the translation of culture-specific concepts and the challenges associated with rendering culturally bound elements from one language into another. It highlights the role of linguistic and extralinguistic factors in preserving the semantic and pragmatic meaning of such units. Special attention is paid to translation strategies, including adaptation, borrowing, and descriptive translation. The study emphasizes that culture-specific concepts reflect the worldview, traditions, and values of a particular society, making their adequate translation a complex and multifaceted process.
