Abstract

Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) has become an increasingly important field in global education as English continues to serve as a lingua franca across nations. This paper explores the multifaceted nature of TESL, examining theoretical foundations, pedagogical methodologies, challenges, and recent innovations. Emphasis is placed on communicative competence, intercultural awareness, and technology integration. The discussion concludes that TESL is not only a linguistic endeavor but also a bridge for global understanding and cultural exchange.
