The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming educational practices worldwide, particularly in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT). This article explores the integration of AI-powered tools—such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and Duolingo—into the ELT classroom, highlighting the potential benefits and the challenges they pose. AI tools have shown promise in enhancing learner engagement, providing personalised feedback, and supporting teacher workload. However, concerns regarding over-reliance, accuracy, ethical use, and teacher preparedness remain significant.
