INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO DEVELOPING A READING CULTURE IN SCHOOLS: BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE OF THE HP IDEA PROJECT

Abstract

This article analyzes the practical results of the international “HP IDEA” project implemented in Uzbekistan to develop and foster a reading culture in schools. It highlights the activities carried out within the project at the U.Uvatov General Secondary School No.1 in G‘uzor District, focusing on teacher and student participation, initiatives to revitalize library operations, and the project's outcomes. The article also proposes best practices based on project results to enhance students’ independent thinking, creativity, and interest in reading.
