Abstract

The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education marks a pivotal shift in how languages are taught and learned. AI's integration into language education not only redefines classroom practices but also reshapes the teacher-student dynamic, instructional design, and assessment methods. This paper explores the multifaceted role of AI in language teaching, analyzing both its transformative potential and the challenges it presents. Through examples of AI applications, this study discusses how personalized learning, automatic feedback, and virtual interaction tools are influencing second and foreign language acquisition. The article also examines pedagogical implications, ethical considerations, and the evolving role of teachers in AI-enhanced classrooms
