Main Article Content
Abstract
The article addresses the civil liability issues of non-governmental non-profit legal entities. The author analyzes the regulatory and legal documents governing the activities of non-profit organizations, including the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 20, 2024, "On measures to further improve the system of state support for civil society institutions." The study explores in detail the liability mechanisms of non-governmental non-profit organizations for breach of obligations. In particular, it analyzes the principle of "limited liability" of such organizations, whose property liability is carried out only within the limits of their property, as well as issues of mutual responsibility between members of the organization and the organization itself. The article also examines legal practices related to the liability of non-governmental non-profit organizations in foreign countries, including the USA, Germany, and Russia. The author conducts a systematic analysis of the features, functions, forms, and types of civil liability. It is proposed to consider the liability of non-governmental non-profit organizations both in relation to founders and participants (internal liability) and in relation to counterparties, budgetary and extra-budgetary funds (external liability).
