THE ROLE OF THE FAIRY TALE IN THE SYSTEM OF GENRES OF FOLK

Abstract

This article examines the role of the fairy tale genre in the system of genres of oral folk art, and shows the aspects of this genre that are different from myths, legends, and stories. In defining the fairy tale genre, examples are given from the views and opinions of various folklorists.
