THE ROLE OF PROVERBS AND IDIOMS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

Abstract
This article is dedicated to the study of proverbs and idioms in English language. We can't imagine an origin of proverbs and idioms without their history. By origin of proverbs and sayings, we can compare culture, social or ethical problems of other people and linguistic features of language too. Proverbs and idioms in language are considered as wealth and decoration of the speech. Especially proverbs reflect culture and a way of life of this or that language, they help to make the speech more expressive and colourful.
