Abstract
The article studies the influence of customs and traditions on the formation of the semantic field of “Success” in the English and Uzbek cultures. By analyzing linguistic and cultural aspects of the concept of success, the study highlights how cultural values, historical contexts, and social norms shape the perception and interpretation of success in both societies. The research investigates key elements such as individualism, collectivism, social recognition, and family values in the English and Uzbek cultures. The comparative analysis reveals both shared and distinctive features in how success is understood and articulated in these two cultural contexts, shedding light on the role of language in reflecting cultural ideologies and societal priorities. The findings underscore the importance of cultural frameworks in shaping the meaning of success and the way it is communicated.
