NEURODIVERSITY AND LANGUAGE ACQUISITION: ENHANCING NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study explores the complexities of language acquisition in neurodiverse individuals, emphasizing the crucial role of nonverbal communication skills in fostering effective interaction. The paper examines the challenges faced by individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and specific language impairment (SLI). Furthermore, it investigates how neuroplasticity contributes to language development and evaluates innovative strategies for enhancing nonverbal communication skills in neurodiverse individuals. The findings provide valuable insights for educators, therapists, and parents, helping them create supportive and inclusive learning environments.
