Abstract
This article examines the implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language instruction within higher education, focusing on the projected advancements by 2030. The study highlights the transformative potential of AI technologies in reshaping language teaching methodologies, providing personalized learning experiences, and enhancing assessment and feedback mechanisms. Current applications, including virtual tutors, chatbots, and AI-powered language learning platforms, are reviewed, emphasizing their role in fostering individualized and efficient learning. The paper also explores ethical concerns, privacy challenges, and data security issues as critical factors in AI integration. Key research gaps are identified, such as the necessity for empirical studies to evaluate the long-term effectiveness of AI-driven tools and their socio-cultural impacts.
