THE ROLE OF THE ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC COOPERATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This article is devoted to the analysis of the establishment, history of development of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its place in the development of Uzbekistan. Initially, the factors that led to the establishment of the organization in 1969, were its main goals and areas of activity. Detailed information is provided about the role of the OIC in the development of political, economic and cultural cooperation between Muslim countries. The article examines Uzbekistan's membership in the OIC, its activity in this organization and its international initiatives. The article discusses in detail the major projects implemented in Uzbekistan through the OIC, including the financial assistance provided by the Islamic Development Bank, its contribution to the development of agriculture and infrastructure. It also discusses the work carried out to preserve the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, develop Islamic education, and establish Halal tourism. In addition, the article discusses the role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the development of Uzbekistan, the speeches of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the activities of this organization, and important events held within the framework of the organization. In particular, it is emphasized that the goal of Uzbekistan's membership in the OIC is to strengthen international friendly relations and develop regional cooperation. The author puts forward his proposals for strengthening ties with the organization. This article is aimed at a deeper analysis of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OIC and the development of new initiatives in this direction.
